What is NOMADIC?

NOMADIC is a festival created to share a space where fitness, art, design, and local merchants can share their craft.  Nomadic means to embrace a lifestyle of exploring.  The day will be filled with yoga, fitness classes, local businesses, breweries, coffee shops, food trucks and so much more sharing what they love and are passionate about with YOU.

There is so much for New Mexico to share and this is the place to do just that.  Our culture, community and of course our Yoga scene is something that we want to bring light to.  Our vision for NOMADIC is to grow for years to come and make a place for everyone to share the love.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a space of community and connection.  Both on and off the mat we are going to challenge you to connect with those around through experiencing what makes this city great and thrive - those who are a part of it.

Our Beneficiary

We are excited to announce that we are working with Animal Humane New Mexico!  Our goal is to raise enough in sponsorships to donate as much of our ticket profits as possible.  Last year we raised $7,250!

I created Nomadic to provide a space welcoming for everyone.  I believe anyone can do yoga in their own capacity and at their own level so I wanted to bridge that ability and our community together for a day of connection and giving. Outside of this festival, I run YogaZo, a local mobile yoga studio as well as Mint Marketing, a social media marketing firm where I help small businesses find their voice!  I've lived in NM for almost 10 years and moved here from Ohio and have grown to love the uniqueness that is ABQ!  When I'm not teaching yoga or consulting, you can catch me at home with my handsome husband and two adorable pups!

I am a true Burqueña, born and raised in New Mexico, but I love to travel. I’m visiting my sixth continent this year and I am excited to experience a new culture. I love meeting new people which is one of the reasons I’ve been doing yoga with YogaZo regularly for the last three years, the people are amazing! The beer is a pretty big draw too, if I’m being totally honest.Yoga makes me better at the other things I like to do, like rock climbing, running, and sitting for several hours straight staring at spreadsheets. While my husband and pup haven’t totally jumped on the yoga wagon with me (yet), they make for a very good yogi support team.

Nomadic Yoga Festival is a combination of all the things I LOVE: yoga, music, food, fun, and community. I am a New Mexico native, born in Gallup and raised in Albuquerque’s Westgate & South Valley. I am an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools. I teach for YogaZo, Let It Be Yoga, and At Heart Center with the intention of keeping yoga accessible and fun with a focus on healing, community, and giving back. I also teach bellydance classes to help women to feel empowered, confident, joyful, supported, and connected. When I’m not teaching, my husband and I are trying to keep up with our two very active and exceptional young men.

Tabatha Bennett

After years of people-pleasing and low self-esteem, Tabatha Bennett had become an over-achieving perfectionist. Once she discovered the magic of yoga, she learned to embrace imperfection, both on and off the mat. Through her practice, she lives vibrantly in the present moment and supports others to do the same. Tabatha is proud to be part of the YogaZo team, offering yoga classes in a welcoming and positive environment that encourages all practitioners to connect and grow. As an independent consultant, she contracts with non-profit organizations to provide project management and strategic planning skills to improve the health and wellness of our community. You can find this native New Mexican running around with her son, basking in the sunshine, appreciating the Earth and cultivating enchantment to make the entire universe feel more magical.
